The Golden USB

January 24

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 12:00am, repeating until February 4, 2018

Admission

In our Main Gallery we have a pair of artists from Quebec. To say that Richard Ibghy & Marilou Lemmens’ ’The Golden USB’ is ‘out of this world’ doesn’t do it justice. For starters, they have an incredible setup…the entire main gallery has been painted black for this exhibition!

To give you a taste of what ‘The Golden USB’ entails, an expert from the write up on our website “Richard Ibghy & Marilou Lemmens’ project executes the next logical step of capitalistic expansion. Contained within the “Golden USB” is the Trade Catalog of Everything; a digital file listing all existing and potential commodities our earth has to offer, making available the necessary conditions for interstellar commercial trade.”

Richard & Marilou live and work in Quebec and have also spent time in the Gushul Studio in Blairmore, collecting more works for their ongoing exhibition, ‘elements of our regional terrain have been inventoried, classified, and ordered, to be included not only in the space-bound memory stick (The Golden USB) but also shown within the exhibition.’
