Rosie and the Riveters

January 28, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Empress Theatre’s Centre Stage Concert Series for the 2016 – 2017 season is serving up an eclectic mix of genres for Southern Alberta’s live music lovers. Starting this fall, the historic theatre will host jazz, country, blues, vintage folk and Latin-style guitar performances featuring a boatload of Canadian talent.

Rosie and the Riveters
“Pin-up fashion, four-part harmonies and oh-la-la” is how this vintage-folk female group from Saskatoon describe their quirky style. They let their rural roots show through their original songs featuring sophisticated harmonies and humorous lyrics. Pull out your red lipstick and join these sassy dames for a night of good, clean fun.

Season’s tickets for our 2016 – 2017 Centre Stage concert series are on sale until Sept. 1 and cost $150 for six shows ($25 per show). Individual show tickets are $35 and will become available Sept. 2, 2016. Purchase tickets by calling 403-553-4404 (toll-free at 1-800-540-9229) or drop by the Box Office on Main Street.

About the Empress Theatre
The Empress Theatre in Fort Macleod is a rare gem: one of the oldest operating theatres in the country. Built in 1912, the elegant Empress hosts movies, musicals and musicians throughout the year. From the neon tulip lights that grace the theatre’s pressed tin ceiling, to the original ticket wicket and dressing rooms (not to mention our resident ghost, Ed), the Empress is a special place where neighbours gather to celebrate and nurture local, Albertan and Canadian performers. We look forward to having you join us.
