In a main event that will see the PPW Heavyweight Championship on the line, Champion “The Tattooed Terminator” Massive Damage defends against The Irishman and Chris Perish.
The rivalry between Perish and Irishman has been brewing for months and was taken to a new extreme in the finale of the Power Rumble as Irishman dropped both himself and Chris Perish off of the ring apron to the floor with his I.R.A. finishing move, in a moment that sent a shockwave through the very foundation of the Fritz Sick Memorial Centre.
“That move showed me two things,” said defending Champion Massive Damage. “First, it showed me what getting into this title match means to both of these guys that they were willing to risk their lives to get this shot. Second, it showed me that they’re so interested in hurting one another, that none of us might make it out of this match in one piece.”
The Champion is no stranger to either challenger, having trained, fought and teamed with both men in the past.
“Massive Damage brought me into this sport,” said Chris Perish. “But now his time is over. It’s time for Perish to get everything that Perish deserves. It’s time for Perish to win that title. And the fact that I’ll get to finally destroy Irishman in the process is just a bonus.”
PPW’s anniversary celebration will also see Travis “The Heat” Copeland finally have a one-on-one shot at the PPW Cruiserweight Championship as he takes on Cyanide.
“I’ve already beat the guy twice. Now it’s time for a title shot and you know what they say — third time’s the charm. Now I’m going to fly higher than I’ve ever flown, and I’m taking that belt home with me.” said Copeland.
In a grudge match, Sydney Steele will clash with the monstrous “Big Sexy Beast” Bradley Graham. Steele, a true PPW original, will look to extract a measure of revenge over the Big Sexy Beast for months of sneak attacks and assaults.
“Look up and down this card. I’m the only one in the ring at Anniversary Extravaganza that was there on day one,” said Steele. “That PPW ring is my home, and nobody comes into my home and goes after me. So on April 22, Bradley Graham is going find himself an intruder in my home, and I’ll do to him just like I’d do to anyone else who barged into to my home uninvited. I’m going to put him down.”
The evening’s card will also feature Kato, “The Cheetahbear” Jude Dawkins, 7-foot giant The Orion, “The Wildchild” Tyler James and a grudge match between Kid Cyrus and “The All-American” Steve Rivers.
Anniversary Extravaganza VI will be held at the Fritz Sick Memorial Centre (420 – 11 St. S.) LIVE Saturday, April 22.
