Celebrate the arrival of fall with a beautiful evening of classical and romantic era piano music! Relax and experience the stunning transition from daylight to dusk in the Viewing Gallery of the Galt Museum & Archives, overlooking the fall colours of the Oldman river valley. Dessert and coffee, served during intermission, are entrusted to the experienced culinary craftsmen of Prime Catering.
Our Piano & Pie soloist for 2017, Jill Heninger, will perform a diverse feature-length program of piano favourites, including the Sonata Pathetique by Beethoven, Impromptu Op. 142 No. 4 by Schubert, and other dreamy and dynamic compositions by Brahms, Debussy, Mendelssohn, Chopin & Rachmaninoff. Jill Heninger, an administrator for the Town of Cardston, is passionate about all things musical. She has competed as a pianist in many festival appearances, completed the Royal Conservatory of Music Level 10 Piano, and currently sings as a member of Cantrice, a nationally-ranked a capella vocal ensemble.
