Lethbridge Sport Council is hosting Japanese themed Sport and Craft Demonstrations and Come Try-It Zones in partnership with Nikka Yuko Centennial Garden in celebration of their 50th Anniversary and Canada’s 150th Anniversary.
The day kicks off in front of Nikka Yuko Centennial Gardens with a pancake breakfast at 8 AM hosted by Lethbridge Bulls Baseball and game of tug-of-war with T-Bone at 9:30 AM.
Demonstrations and Try-It Zones will run from 10 AM to 3 PM. Knifewear from Calgary will have a pop-up shop and forging demonstration with Japan’s Master Blacksmith Masashi Yamamoto from 10 – 11:30 AM.
Get out your Gi or come in your active gear and try three Japanese sports – judo, karate, and iaido sword – hosted by community sport organizations.
Lethbridge Sport Council will have many outdoor family lawn games set up including Spike Ball, Washer Toss, Slack Line, Tug-of-War, Trap Ball, and Roaring Rapids Challenge (stepping stones).
