Artist Trading Cards with Eric Dyck 10:15am – 2:00pm
Create your very own set of Artist Trading Cards. Use drawing and collage to make miniature works of art (2.5 X 3.5inches). Once you’ve created your set, start trading with other artists and build your collection.
Telling Family Stories with Jane Harris 10:30am – 12:00pm
Every family has great stories! The kids write about their favourite family adventure, while parents and grandparents learn about starting a family history or memoir.
Box City! 10:30am – 3:30pm All day drop-in!
Build an amazing city using recycled cardboard boxes in the ATB Financial Community Room. Each kid architect will receive a cardboard box to transform and place in a colorful and creative city!
Bunting Brigade with Andrew Rabyniuk 10:30am – 12:00pm
Celebrate the day by collaborating with family members while making a personalized bunting in this upcycling project. Brighten your home with colourful, festive, family flags!
Family Art Selfies with Katherine Bourke and Claire Reid 11:00am – 3:30pm
Create a non-digital family selfie. Express through drawing, collage and other analog media yourself and family members in this intergenerational self-portrait project.
Casa Studio Access Tour – tour begins at 1:00pm
See artists at work! A rare opportunity for children to visit the studios. This tour highlights three areas: the Clay Studio, 2D Art/Print Studio and the Textile Studio, each with a mini art demo.
Tremendous Tiles with Claire Reid 10:30am – 12:00pm
Create as a family by glazing colorful ceramic tiles together. Decorate your very own tile! After the class is done, we’ll fire your tile in our kiln and contact you for pick up.*Registration required/max enrollment
Family Bowls with Jamie Hume 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Working as a family, get your hands dirty to make your very own clay bowl. Various hand-building techniques will be taught and put into action for this fun and exciting workshop. After the class is done, we’ll fire your bowl in our kiln and contact you for pick up. *Registration required/max enrollment

Did you ever wonder what certain instruments sound like? Conservatory faculty and students will have an instrument petting zoo and performance in Stephure Hall.
