5th Annual Lethbridge Tractor Rally
June 23 @ 4:00 pm - June 24 @ 7:00 pm Free
Come join in the 5th annual Lethbridge Tractor Rally with antique one- cylinder tractors. There will be a drive through the city of Lethbridge, with a stop over at City Hall. On Saturday, come to the farm and see these tractors work!
Everyone is invited to come and/or bring your one cylinder tractor. If you want to participate in the rally you need to be at Broxburn Vegetable Farm on Friday at 4 p.m. Supper is provided to participants. The farm is located 3 miles east of Lethbridge on highway # 3 and ¾ mile South on Broxburn Road. When you see greenhouses and Broxburn café you are at the right place. We start the tractors at 5 p.m. and start driving 3 miles towards Lethbridge, to be in Lethbridge at 6 p.m. From there we wind through the city and make a pit stop at City Hall parking lot between 7 & 8 p.m. Then we drive home through north Lethbridge. If you have a very slow tractor, it is recommended not to drive on Friday evening, but you can always catch a ride.
On Saturday we do some demonstrations and fun pulling on our participants sled. Because this is for one cylinder tractors only, we like to demonstrate how they start and operate. They are often called the Harleys of tractors, they are noisy, smoke and rock! We try to get a good selection, but you can expect to see: Lanz Bullog, Field Marshall, Ursus, Pampa, SFV, HSCS, Landini, Case. They never made these types of one cylinder tractors in North America; they are mostly European. Lanz Bulldogs and Field Marshalls were sold in North America.
