Parade in downtown Lethbridge to commemorate
100th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge
Soldiers from 20th Independent Field Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery, and affiliated Cadet Organizations from Lethbridge, Fort MacLeod and Taber will conduct a parde and Remembrance Ceremony on Saturday, April 8, 2017 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of Canada’s victory at Vimy Ridge.
Starting from Galt Gardens at 10 a.m., the parade will proceed to City Hall for the Remembrance Ceremony and gun salute from 10:30-11 a.m. The public is invited to view the parade and the ceremony at City Hall.
The parade will proceed from Galt Gardens heading east on 1 Avenue South, then south on Stafford Drive South to City Hall. The gun salute will include the firing of two blank rounds at approximately 11 a.m.
Once the ceremony at City Hall is finished, the parade will return to Galt Gardens heading west along 4 Avenue South.
