Economic Development Lethbridge (EDL) has rolled out a new web site that showcases Lethbridge as a bright choice for business, life, people, innovation as well as meetings and events.

“Our new site is a major step forward in terms of design, functionality and user experience,” says EDL CEO Trevor Lewington. “It gives businesses and investors the detailed information they need when researching our city while also promoting the social and cultural elements that make Lethbridge such a great community.”

In addition to a fresh new look and a more dynamic, mobile-friendly interface, the new chooselethbridge.ca includes a data dashboard for accessing the latest statistics and market information about Lethbridge, profiles of local businesses operating out of the Tecconnect centre for entrepreneurship and innovation, and an interactive map highlighting prominent industries, services and amenities in the city.

“Research shows that there is a significant trend, particularly among young talent, to prioritize quality of place over job opportunities,” said Jaylene Ulmer, EDL’s Director of Marketing and Communications. “This intereconnected decision making process is in part what led us to develop the Bright Choice identity – an evolution of the Choose Lethbridge brand positioning and the core of our enhanced marketing efforts.”

The revamped website is just one part of EDL’s strategy to attract business and talent by emphasizing the good quality of life and excellent opportunities available in Lethbridge. The strategy also includes enhanced digital tactics which will expand the overall social media presence of Choose Lethbridge.

“As an organization, we have consistently dedicated resources to ensuring we are providing up-to-date quality data and information to help investors, entrepreneurs and people choose Lethbridge,” adds Lewington. “The new design builds on this foundation, to tell the story of our city in a more compelling way, to help people who are looking for a place to start a business or pursue a new career to choose Lethbridge.”

Economic Development Lethbridge is an arm’s length organization, supported by the City of Lethbridge, governed by a 25-member volunteer Board of Directors and managed by a team of professionals dedicated to promoting economic prosperity in Lethbridge.
