Lethbridge speaks up at first 100K Day

Resident feedback from the City’s first 100K Day is now available to the public. More than 200 resident feedback forms were collected at the 100K Day community engagement event on October 12 and the full report can be viewed at www.lethbridge.ca/100KDay.

Based on the fact that Lethbridge is nearing 100K population, 100K Day was an opportunity for City staff to talk with residents about what they would like to see as the city grows. More than 300 residents attended giving valuable perspectives on what the future of Lethbridge looks like to them.

The event was hosted at City Hall with 10 exhibitors displaying various City projects as well as public presentations on the Transit Master Plan, Cycling Master Plan and River Valley Master Plan.

From those attending, 98 per cent were in favour of having another 100K Day. Due to this positive feedback, City staff are planning a second 100K Day in the spring of 2017.
