The community is at its holiday and winter festival peak this weekend! It’s the perfect weekend to get out and about in Lethbridge and make merry. Check out our Weekend Highlights Article to see how you can get in on the action. There is a lot to choose from, so don’t miss out!

1) Winter Lights Festival
Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden
Select nights December – February @ 7 p.m.

Head to Nikka Yuko for the official opening of the Winter Lights Festival on Dec. 2, 2016 @ 7 p.m. Enjoy a stroll through the garden and take in this electric display of 96,000 lights. Take advantage of mochi sampling courtesy of the Nikkei Cultural Society as well as concession provided by Enmax Centre.

2) Big Christmas Farmers Market & Tradeshow
Exhibition Park
December 2, 1 – 8 p.m.
December 3, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Like it says in the title, this Christmas market is BIG! Take advantage of $2 admission and enjoy meeting Santa, listening to Carolers and shopping with more than 200 vendors to choose from. It’s only a two-day event so don’t miss out on this unique holiday experience.

3) FREE Oil Change
Davis GMC Buick
December 3, 8 a.m. – Noon

Join Davis GMC Buick for its 21st Annual Free Lube, Oil & Filter. When you make a minimum $50 donation to Interfaith Food Bank, Lethbridge Food Bank, or the Salvation Army for the Christmas Hope Campaign, you’ll get an oil change for free! No appointments necessary. Simply make a donation and enjoy free coffee and doughnuts while you wait.

4) Heralding Hope Festival
Streets Alive Mission
December 3, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Help Streets Alive provide services to those in need this holiday season. Head to this festival on Saturday morning and fill a stocking or make Christmas cards for the Mission clients. Donate or help out any you want to! Northside Lethbridge Dodge will match all cash donations.

5) Messiah
Southminster United Church
December 4, Doors open at 2:30 p.m.
December 5, Doors open at 7 p.m.
 

Join the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra as they tell one of the world’s oldest stories with this annual tradition. Enjoy one of two concerts with special guests: Chinook Chamber Singers, Janet Youngdahl, Sandra Stringer, Timothy Shantz and Ian Fundytus.  You can purchase your tickets for this oratorio online.
