School is back in session, and the demands of homework and studying can be overwhelming. Chinook Arch Regional Library System is now offering SOLARO, an online homework help tool, to library patrons in southwest Alberta.
SOLARO provides study help, practice quizzes, and exam preparation in math, sciences, and English language arts for grade 3 to 12, with all content being matched with the Alberta curriculum. Using their library card, students can set up a SOLARO account, and select the subjects they want to work on. Students can make notes and flashcards using SOLARO’s units and lessons, review extended solutions on quizzes, and take practice exams with questions modeled on those used for Alberta’s Provincial Achievement Tests. Parents can set up a profile that is linked to their child’s, and receive detailed reports on course activity and progress.
SOLARO is available now at http://www.chinookarch.ca/content/solaro and can be accessed for free with a Chinook Arch member library card on computer, tablet, or via the SOLARO app (compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows 8 & 10 devices).
Chinook Arch Regional Library System assists a network of cooperating libraries in Southwest Alberta to provide cost-effective, convenient access to information and library resources.
