Five more important links have been completed this summer as part of an ongoing initiative to improve connectivity and fill gaps in the city’s pathway network.

    • Scenic Drive North from downtown to 9th Avenue North
    • Mayor Magrath Drive South from Henderson Lake to the Highway 3 underpass
    • Stafford Drive North from Scenic Drive North to Legacy Ridge
    • Connection from Lafayette Boulevard West to University Drive West
    • River Valley trail from Elizabeth Hall Wetland to Heritage Heights

Each year, the City of Lethbridge constructs new pathways to link existing sections of our pathway network. These new sections complete loops on recreation trails in the River Valley and provide connections along our road network for active transportation methods like cycling, skateboarding and walking.

“The City of Lethbridge recognizes the important role that pathways play in connecting our community,” says Parks Manager David Ellis. “They offer residents and visitors a safe way to explore our beautiful River Valley and connect neighbourhoods across the city.”

Other links that have been completed in the past few years include:

    • River Valley trail from Tudor Estates to the Oldman River
    • Top of bank River Valley trail behind Lethbridge College
    • Top of bank River Valley trail from RiverStone to Canyon Crest
    • River Valley trail from Heritage Heights to Ridgewood

Get out today and enjoy the view from a new pathway near you. More information about City of Lethbridge pathways, including pathway maps, can be found at
