Reuse Rendezvous is Coming! Are you Ready?

For the first time in five years, electronics recycling will be part of this year’s Reuse Rendezvous. Environment Lethbridge is partnering with Efutures Renewables, to ensure that leftover electronics are disposed of properly after this year’s event.

“We are very excited to be working with Efutures,” said Kathleen Sheppard, Executive Director with Environment Lethbridge. “Unlike previous years where residents needed to find their own ways to recycle these items, Efutures participation will make it easy and convenient for leftover electronics to be properly recycled.”

Efutures has agreed to pick up electronics on Sunday evening from any household who requests pickup when they register their location for Reuse Rendezvous. Items eligible for pickup include computers, printers and televisions, along with household electronics such as small kitchen appliances, fans, etc.

“Efutures is excited to work with Environment Lethbridge on the Reuse-Rendesvous,” said Tyler Beaulieu of Efutures Renewables. “Our Company goal is waste diversion in all forms. We saw the opportunity to work with Environment Lethbridge again and show the community some of the excellent services we provide. Kathleen and her team work very hard to present options to reduce, reuse and recycle in the community. Efutures is a local business dedicated to the same goals as Environment Lethbridge. We want to show how easy it is to make a real change on how you handle your waste and the better ways we can deal with what we put in the landfill.”

Reuse Rendezvous runs on September 9, 10 and 11, 2016. Anyone who wishes to participate in Reuse Rendezvous can get their free lawn sign at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre or the Environment Lethbridge office (319-6 St S). Participating households are also encouraged to register their items on an online map hosted by Environment Lethbridge. More information about Reuse Rendezvous, including the map of locations, can be found at the Environment Lethbridge website ( or on Environment Lethbridge’s Facebook page.

Efutures is an Alberta company dedicated to finding long term solutions to keeping our environment clean for today and our future generations. We believe that as the population of the world grows we need to innovate and find solutions to minimize our impact on the environment. We believe that Albertans want solutions to the problems with garbage and renewables. We believe those solutions already exist and they can be provided economically as a choice for business and communities.
