With construction now complete, work is underway to prepare the newly developed Henderson Pool for visitors. The pool will official open to the public on Friday, July 15 but residents may see swimmers in the facility over the next several days as important staff training takes place.
The new and improved facility features waterslides, climbing wall, drop slide and a tot spray park and improves accessibility by offering a zero depth entry pool and accessible change rooms.

As part of the grand opening celebration happening Thursday, July 28, The City of Lethbridge is inviting the public to enter to win a free swim at the newly developed pool. The grand opening will also including a ribbon cutting ceremony with funders and dignitaries to officially re-open the new and improved facility.
Approximately 2000 members of the public will win free admission on July 28 at one of two swims scheduled for 12 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Those interested can enter by visiting www.lethbridge.ca/HendersonBigSplash until July 13. Winners will be notified on July 14 and 15 and will be able to pick up their free passes at Nicholas Sheran, Stan Siwik or Fritz Sick Pools for one week beginning July 16. Any passes not picked up after July 22 will be redrawn.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Rotary Club of Lethbridge will barbeque free burgers and hot dogs for the first 1000 people in the Henderson Horseshoe Pit area. This is in celebration of the opening of the new Rotary Spray Park included in the Henderson Pool redesign.
There will also be giveaways during the free swims including towels, bags and 2 packs of 4 tickets to “Ice Age on Ice!” taking place at the ENMAX Centre in October.
Henderson Pool is owned by the City of Lethbridge and operated by Recreation Excellence. The facility will be open to the public seven days a week from noon to 8:00 p.m. Fees to Henderson Pool will be consistent with fees to all other City owned pools.
