The AFP Southern Alberta Chapter will host its Second Annual National Philanthropy Day luncheon on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at which time it will honour the recipients of the Inspiring Philanthropy Awards.
The AFP Southern Alberta Chapter was formed in 2011 and serves to advance the ethical and effective practice of fundraising in southern Alberta.

This year, nominations will be accepted in six categories, with an additional category for Youth in Philanthropy being added to the slate this year: 1. Corporate Philanthropist; 2. Small Business Philanthropist; 3. Philanthropic Group; 4. Individual Philanthropist including Families; 5. Aboriginal; and 6. Youth in Philanthropy.
NPD is a celebration of philanthropy—giving, volunteering and charitable engagement—that highlights the accomplishments, large and small, that philanthropy—and all those involved in the philanthropic process—makes to our society and our world.
2015 Honourees: Aboriginal: RBC Royal Bank, nominated by Lethbridge College Corporate Philanthropist: Chris Murray of Murray Chevrolet Cadillac, nominated by United Way of Lethbridge Individual Philanthropist: Yukio and Barbara Kitagawa, nominated by Vauxhall Baseball Academy Small Business Philanthropist: Enercon Water Treatment Ltd., nominated by Lethbridge College and Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation.
