Residents now have an online forum to provide their thoughts, ideas and feedback on the future of cycling in Lethbridge. As part of the Cycling Master Plan, the City of Lethbridge has launched a community engagement website to the public.

Participants can sign in to the site, learn about the project goals, view information from past engagement sessions, see results of the recent phone survey and give their thoughts on a variety of questions.

Community engagement is a key element of the Cycling Master Plan. As part of the project, the City is hosting numerous face-to-face events in addition to providing online feedback. The online option gives people the freedom to come to the site, look around, review plans and past feedback and leave comments 24/7.

The online engagement site will be open for the next several months and participants are encouraged to check back often. Planning for the next face-to-face public engagement session is underway which is anticipated to take place this June.

The Cycling Master Plan will build upon work already gathered through the City of Lethbridge Bikeways and Pathways Master Plan, expanding it to dig deeper into the specific cycling needs.

The existing cycling network in Lethbridge consists of a number of multi-use pathways and on-street bike lanes on 13 St. N between 9 Ave. N and 26 Ave. N.  Developing more active ways to travel within the city and reducing the use of single vehicle transportation is identified within the City of Lethbridge’s strategic plans.
