The University of Lethbridge Opera Workshop has teamed up with the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable musical performance of the Grimm Brothers’ beloved work Hansel and Gretel. Innocence and adventure collide in this classic tale fit for all ages Friday and Saturday at Southminster United Church. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Show begins at 8 p.m.
The Southern Alberta Art Gallery is closing two exhibits Sunday. Sarah Anne Johnson’s exhibition builds upon her previous works involving CIA mind control experiments and the questionable methods used to study the alteration of brain function, and Corinne Thiessen’s Factory Logic features a fixed large-scale installation of horses in motion that challenges participants to contemplate the endlessly moving cycle. SAAG is open 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1–5 p.m. Sunday. Standard admission rates apply.
